Rubber and medical tube extrusion requires that wall thickness and diameter is correctly maintained throughout the extrusion process. In this sketch, the QKL vacuum breaker (electronic pressure regulator)assemblies are controlling the level of vacuum in each zone of the sizing chamber (to control outer diameter) based on a command signal from the customer’s controller.
Our proportional pressure regulator is best suited for this application due to its high flow rate, fast response time, and high accuracy. Our regulators are capable of modulating from 2 bar to 65 bar with accuracy of 0.25% FS. (higher pressure range can be customised upon request)
